Genie+ Basics

You can purchase Genie+ as early as 12am on the day of your park visit.

We recommend that you purchase prior to 6:55am so you can book your first Lightning Lane right at 7am.

  1. Genie+ can sell out for the day. If you decide to purchase it, we recommend buying before 7am to maximize your value.

  2. Everyone in your party who wants to use Genie+ will need to purchase it for the day. If you are linked via My Disney Experience App, one person can purchase for all members of the party.

  3. Once you book a Lightning Lane, your return time will give you a 1 hour block. Cast Members will sometimes give a little bit of grace time after the 1 hour mark, but it is not guaranteed.

  4. You will be eligible to book a new Genie+ Lightning Lane 2 hours after park officially opens - and every 2 hours later. Or as early as you scan into your first Genie+ ride and every 2 hours later.

We strongly recommend that you set a timer to remind you of when you are eligible for your next ride booking.

  5. Once you book a Genie+ attraction, you can go back in and modify or cancel your reservation. This is especially helpful if your first priority ride is not available - book ANYTHING and go back in and try to modify. However, if you modify a reservation it has to be another selection in the same park.

  6. If you do not plan on going into the parks until later in the day, you should still start reserving Genie+ at 7am. Just make sure the return times are later in the afternoon.

It’s a great strategy to try to “stack” (aka book all your Lightning Lanes for the day) in close proximity in the afternoon. It’s a super fun way to spend the afternoon evening maxing out rides!

Note: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens June 28, 2024
